As the vice president, people & organisational development for the London-based Dorchester Collection, Eugenio Pirri is responsible for all aspects of HR, learning and development (L&D), employee & guest engagement, innovation and corporate responsibility, working with all functions in the business to ensure our people are the cornerstone of every business decision.
Eugenio Pirri has worked with Dorchester Collection since October 2011, joining the Collection from his role as regional director human resources Europe for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, having worked with the company since 2004.
He has worked in the hospitality industry for over 25 years, with the last 18 years in HR and training.
He began his career in operational roles mainly throughout food and beverage then transitioned into HR where he worked in Vancouver, Canada, with hotel groups Delta Hotels & Resorts, Metropolitan Hotel and Pan Pacific Hotels. He also worked for Starwood Hotels in the United States in both the W Brand and Westin Hotels & Resorts.
Pirri completed studies both hospitality administration at Vancouver College and employment law & human rights with The University of British Columbia. He received his professional Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation in 2002 in Canada and in 2014 achieved his Chartered Fellow status with CIPD. Pirri was recently recognised by HR magazine as 2014 HR Director of the Year.
